Description: The Arcado Chorus is a singing performance ensemble open to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. The Arcado Chorus has two evening concerts each year, along with the Percussion Ensemble; typically, one in December, and one in April or May. No audition or previous experience is required. Permission forms are due the last Wednesday of August.

Meetings Days and Times: Wednesdays, 7:10-7:45 am
Rehearsals:
Attendance is vital to a successful performance, so please ensure that your student can consistently attend rehearsals.
Students with discipline problems and those who arrive late or have more than three unexcused absences from rehearsal will not be allowed to continue with chorus.
Drop-off:
Students should be dropped off in the bus lane between 7:00 and 7:10 am
Please be absolutely sure there is an adult there waiting to receive them before you depart!!
Students may not be dropped off earlier than 7:00 am. Students arriving after 7:10 am will not be able to enter the building.
Due to space constraints and supervision, younger siblings of chorus students may not be dropped off early.
Club Name: Arcado Power Pandas First LEGO League Team (1st Semester Club)

Description: The Arcado Power Pandas First LEGO League Team is comprised of 10 students who work together to engage in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering - building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. In addtition to coding a robot, students will conduct a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem related to the annual theme. Students must be selected for this team through an application process.
Grade Levels: 4th and 5th Grades
Meetings Days and Times: Tuesdays, 3:15-4:30 ***Additional practices may be needed as the team gets closer to competition.
Description: Journey through Scratch using CS First to create fun projects that teach core elements of Scratch and foundational coding skills. Projects include helping a character go for a relaxing stroll, building an interactive scene with characters, coding a fun card with animations, and more!

Description: The LEGO Explore team works together on a journey of discovery to learn all we can about a topic. We then present our findings in the form of a team poster and a LEGO model that moves.
Description: The Percussion Ensemble is a performance group open to 4th and 5th grade students that plays percussion instruments including bucket drums. The percussion ensemble and Arcado Chorus join together to present two concerts each year; one in December and the second in April or May. No audition or prior experience is required; however, there are only 32 slots available. Permission forms are due the last Wednesday of August.

Meetings Days and Times: Mondays, 3:05-3:45
Rehearsals:
Attendance is vital to a successful performance, so please ensure that your student can consistently attend rehearsals.
Students with discipline problems and those who miss multiple rehearsals will not be allowed to remain in the group.
Pick-up:
Students should be picked up in the normal car-rider lane between 3:50 and 4:00 pm.
Please be on time to pick up your student!
If your child is picked up late three times, they will no longer be allowed to participate in Percussion Ensemble.
Due to space constraints and supervision, younger siblings of percussion ensemble students may not stay after school.
